The Chairman and the Directors were saddened to hear of the death of the Club’s former Vice Chairman and Company Secretary Tony Hall at the age of 81 on Sunday 28th December 2025.
Tony became involved with the club in the 1980’s and served many roles in his time at Ram Meadow, firstly as a Committee Member, Director, Company Secretary and Programme Editor, and then as Vice Chairman. He left the club in the summer of 1994 upon relocation to Scotland.
Tony continued to follow the fortunes of the Blues from his home in Lochgoilhead on the Scottish coast. He was delighted to hear from his brother Julian and his daughter Sarah, who had driven up to Scotland to be with him, that Bury Town had defeated old rivals AFC Sudbury the day before his passing as they kept up to date on the scores from the ground, which certainly raised a smile.
