Bury Town are pleased to welcome our second new signing of the summer, as George Quantrell joins from Leiston FC.
George is a midfielder who made 50 appearances for Leiston last season, scoring 19 goals at step 3. Following the expiry of his contract, Cole Skuse and Paul Musgrove were quick to snap up the 22-year old and make him part of their squad for our return to Step 3.
Musgrove said ““George is someone I’ve always kept in contact with since Stowmarket,” added Musgrove. He’s someone that wants to play at the highest level he can and now we’re in the same league as Leiston, that became option and something we were keen to look at.
“He had a great season last season and now he’s excited for a new challenge. He’s only 22 and has aspirations of playing at a higher level, so hopefully that’s something we can help him with.”
