Bury Town lose more ground in their hopes for a playoff place

Great Wakering Rovers had a very comfortable afternoon as they ran out three nil winners as Bury rarely troubled Wakering 'keeper Bobby Mason. On 9 minutes Michael Mignot got down the wing for Wakering and tested Bury keeper Ben Mayhew who made a good save. On 14 minutes Wakering had another chance as Ayomikun Odukoya went on a run into the box and found George Cox with a good pass but his shot was blocked. Bury had their first chance on 19 minutes with some good build up play but Cruise Nyadzayo shot low past the far post. Connor Martin was first to strike for Wakering on 30 minutes with a headed effort. Cemal Ramadan went close for Bury on 33 minutes after a good turn and strike from the edge of the box which went just wide of the post. On 37 minutes Bury won a free kick just outside the box and Ramadan had his effort cleared off the line by Joe Heath. On 45 minutes a double chance for Bury saw Joe Hood header cleared off the line and the follow up chance saw Will Gardner fire high over the bar.
