More late drama at Denny Bros Stadium as Bury steal another injury time winner.

An even game ended in dramatic fashion with a straight red card and a winning penalty. On 8 minutes Bury had a half chance with Emmanuel Machaya getting into the box but the ball into him was cleared by the defence. Histon had a good chance on 10 minutes with Dan Brown shooting from inside the box from a tight angle but Ben Mayhew made a good save and sent the ball out of play. From the resulting corner James Chivers headed the ball back across goal but wide of the far post. Histon won a free kick on 18 minutes and a good effort from Lee Smith saw him but the ball just over the bar. Smith had another shot from distance on 26 minutes which went just wide of the far post. Ollie Hughes got forward for Bury on 27 minutes and found Cruise Nyadzayo in the box, but he shot wide. On 36 minutes Machaya got into the box for Bury but was crowded out inside the six-yard box by two defenders.

Half Time: Bury Town 0 Histon 0

The second half saw more good chance in front of both goals. Histon were first to strike, Scoring the opener on 49 minutes with a beautifully weighted long ball over the Bury defence and Danny Gould got between two defenders and went on to slot the ball past The Bury keeper. On 54 minutes Tommy Smith broke down the wing and put a great cross in to Emmanuel Machaya who should have scored from close range but put his shot straight at Histon keeper Sam Roach. Histons lead did not last long however as on 60 minutes some superb build up play from the home side set up Joe Hood to equalise after another great cross into the box from Smith. With a draw looking on the cards going in to injury time a moment of utter madness from Histon keeper Sam Roach saw him awarded a straight red card for a clear and obvious kick in to the back of the legs of Ollie Hughes and he threw the game away for Histon as Cemal Ramadan scored from the spot on 96 minutes. Bury took another vital three point as they look to stay in the playoff places.
