Bury took another vital three points in their quest to finish in the play off places. A hard-fought contest saw Bury come out on top. On 5 minutes Soham broke forward with Luke Brown getting in to the Bury box but a solid defensive tackle ended the move. On 10 minutes a good through ball from Jake Chambers Shaw almost fell to Ollie Hughes on the edge of the Soham box but the ball was just to strong for Hughes. On 12 minutes Ryan Stafford went down the wing and came inside to hit a shot at goal but a good save from Josh Pope sent the ball out of play. Soham went down to ten men on 20 minutes with Lloyd Groves being sent off with a straight red card for a foul on Ollie Hughes in the box and Cemal Ramadan fired Bury in front from the spot. Hughes was involved in the action again on 24 minutes heading just wide from a corner. Ross Crane played a good ball in to Ryan Jolland on 43 minutes and Pope had to be at his best to punch the ball away. On 44 minutes Soham were level. A well hit strike from Sam Mulready brought the game level at the break.

Bury started the second half on the attack and on 53 minutes Jake Chambers Shaw found Ryan Jolland in the box but he shot just wide of the post. A minutes later Cemal Ramadan fired a shot off of the cross bar. on 63 minutes Ross Crane got into the box for Bury and hit a low strike which Pope got down quickly to save. On 67 minutes Chambers Shaw beat two defenders as he turned in to the box but again a good save from Pope denied Bury their second goal. Chambers Shaw was in the thick of it again on 72 minutes, getting into the box but shooting wide. On 81 minutes Ollie Hughes got into the box and chipped the keeper sending the ball out to Jolland but his shot was blocked. Bury took the lead for the second time on 84 minutes after two efforts from Bury were blocked and Chambers Shaw hit a well driven strike to restore Bury’s lead. Bury kept pressing until the end to take a vital three points to keep the pressure on the teams around them in the league.
