Felixstowe & Walton and Bury Town will lock horns for the third time this season, despite the campaign being just over two months old. The Blues have hosted the Seasiders twice at the Denny Bros Stadium in both the Velocity Cup and the Suffolk Premier Cup and its fair to say that Bury have had much the better with a 5-1 and 4-1 win in both competitions.
With league points at stake, those results are likely to count for little as both sides go in search of a win for different reasons, the Blues looking to keep the pace at the top of the table with Maldon & Tiptree while the Seasiders will be looking to pick up their first points under new manger Stuart Boardley and pull away from the relegation places.
Manager Ben Chenery will also be looking for his side to bounce back from their disappointing 0-3 defeat at Soham Town Rangers in the FA Trophy last weekend. For his part, his side should be able to welcome back goalkeeper Daniel Barden who is back from international duty with Wales Under 19's and striker Colin Oppong will return after a short break after his loan deal with Ipswich Town was extended until January.
Last season the honours between the two sides in the League were shared with the Seasiders winning 3-1 in the opening game of the season at Dellwood Avenue, Ryan Horne with our only goal of the game, but Bury picked up all three points on offer in January 2019 when Ryley Scott and Jake Chambers Shaw both scored in a 2-0 home victory.
