Bury Town bounced straight back to winning ways as their fight for at least a playoff place continues.

Basildon United had an early chance when a cross into the box fell to Callum Fitzer but he shot well wide of the target. On 20 minutes Oliver Yun tried to get Bury off the mark but his cross into the box was blocked.
Basildon went on the attack on 23 minutes with Samir Ali putting a cross in which was half cleared but fell to Sid Walker who set up Ben Allen to shoot but he put the ball over the bar.
On 27 minutes Bury won a corner which Ed Upson put in close to the near post but a defensive header sent the ball out for another corner. It was Basildon who struck first when on 29 minutes a ball into the box found Callum Fitzer with his back to goal but he had the time and space to turn and strike to give Basildon the lead.
On 32 minutes Max Maughn went on a forward run down the wing for Bury and got around the back of the defence but his cross into the danger area lacked power and the keeper made a comfortable save.
Bury pulled level on 39 minutes when a forward pass found Luke Brown and he looked for a teammate but with no option to pass the ball further forward decided to shoot and his shot squeezed between the keeper and the near post. Then in added time at the end of the half Cemal Ramadan was in the right place to convert from close range from a corner played into the box.

The second half saw the weather play its part as it continued to rain and the pitch became all the worst for it. Both sides battled on regardless. On 46 minutes Bury broke forward with Ryan Jolland trying to send the ball through to Luke Brown in the box but the 'keeper read the play well and came out to collect the ball.
Bury went further ahead on 61 minutes when Oliver Yun won the ball and went driving towards goal and rifled home a superb strike.
Basildon went on the attack on 67 minutes when Peter Mokwenye went on a good run and put a decent cross into the box for Callum Fitzer but he failed to get anything on the ball and the chance was gone.
A minutes later another Basildon attack saw Ruben Bartlett-Antwi put his good effort just over the bar.
On 72 minutes it was Bury who went on the attack with Cemal Ramadan chipping the ball over the defence for Louie Arnold to make use of but the defence did just enough to clear the ball.
On 83 minutes a Bury corner ended with Louie Arnold heading high over the bar.
On 85 minutes Basildon broke forward and Ruben Bartlett-Antwi got to the edge of the box but a superb challenge from Lewis O’Malley won the ball back, Bury almost grabbed a fourth goal in added time when Louie Arnold battled through the defence and the ball broke free to Cemal Ramadan but his shot pulled a good save from George Marsh.
A tough game for all given the awful conditions but Bury worked hard to came from behind, turn the game around and ensure another win.
