Bury Town made it seven wins in a row and fifteen games unbeaten but Ipswich Wanderers pushed them all the way second half.

The first half Bury Town were soon in control of the game but not until after they had a scare on 9 minutes when Teon Leggett shot was cleared off the goal line by Oliver Yun.
Bury then took the lead on 12 minutes with Camel Ramadan setting up Ollie Canfer who found the back of the net. On 15 minutes Bury won a free kick which Ed Upson sent to the top corner but Danny Cullum made a good save.
On 16 minutes Bury went two goals up when Max Maughn went on a long run forward and his short pass found Camal Ramadan who had his shot saved but Max Maughn was quickest to react and slotted home Bury’s second goal.
Ollie Canfer had the ball in the back of the net again on 21 minutes but his goal was ruled out for offside. Wanderers went on the attack on 31 minutes with Teon Leggett driving forward but Josh Curry got an important touch to send the ball out for a corner, from the corner Rashid Salau headed over the bar.
Max Maughn then turned provider on 36 minutes after a great forward run and an inviting cross into the box was met by a solid headed goal by Ethan Mayhew.
On 43 minutes Max Maughn went on another good run and whipped the ball into the box for Ryan Jolland but he mis-controlled his header and the chance was gone. A minute later Wanderers won a free kick which Ben Haddoch sent into the box and Bury keeper Charlie Beckwith had to be on his toes to collect the ball. A dominant display from Bury first half gave them a healthy three goal lead at half time.

Half Time: Bury Town 3 Ipswich Wanderers 0

After the break Bury had an early chance when Cemal Ramadan went on a long run but shot wide on 53 minutes. A double substitution from Ipswich Wanderers on the hour changed the dynamics of the game as Wanderers went on the attack more often.
On 63 minutes Rashid Salau set up Jamie Eaton-Collins who pulled a goal back with a quality finish, shaping his shot past Charlie Beckwith. Bury had a chance to extend their lead on 65 minutes when Max Maughn put a good cross into the box for Cemal Ramadan but his shot was saved well by Danny Cullum.
Then on 78 minutes Adam Dunnage was in the right place to head home from a corner. Wanderers were looking dangerous with every attack and on 87 minutes the comeback was completed when Jamahl Godward set up Jamie Eaton-Collins who finished off a skilful attack.
It looked like Bury had thrown the points away but the game went into added time and from out of nowhere Ethan Mayhew picked up the ball outside the box and hit a world class strike which flew past the 'keeper and hit the back of the net.
Yet more drama came on 98 minutes when a long hopeful ball into the box from Paulo Coelho bounced awkwardly in the box and almost stole an equaliser but Charlie Beckwith managed to get a hand to the ball to send it over the bar.
A thrilling game which Bury should have won comfortable after their first half display but a second half comeback from Wanderers pushed Bury all the way to the final whistle.
