Bury Town deliver a Christmas cracker against table toppers Lowestoft Town

Bury Town delivered a pre Christmas cracker as they thrashed table topping Lowestoft Town 4-1 at the OCS Ram Meadow Stadium with an impressive performance from Cole Skuse's men. After a nervy opening few minutes from the Blues, Bury took the lead on 4 minutes when Oliver Yun played a great ball over the defence to Ollie Canfer and a clever low ball across goal was met by Cemal Ramadan who scored from close range.
Lowestoft then started to control the possession as they went in search of a goal. On 12 minutes Harvey Sayer put a good cross into the box but Josh Curry made a solid header to clear the ball. On 14 minutes Lowestoft won a free kick which Adam Hipperson sent into the top corner but an excellent save from Charlie Beckwith denied Lowestoft the equaliser.
On 23 minutes Lowestoft had a corner which Harvey Sayer sent into the box but the shot which followed was blocked bravely by Josh Curry. On 27 minutes another Lowestoft attack saw Adam Hipperson work the ball in from the wing but his shot was blocked well my Max Maughn. On 38 minutes Lowestoft had a big penalty shout as Sam Johnson went down in the box but the referee was unimpressed and the loose ball found its way out to Adam Hipperson who sent his cross come shot high into the box but the ball hit the bar.
Lowestoft got the equaliser via Sam Johnson after Adam Hipperson won the ball and played a square pass across the box.
However, Bury struck again on 44 minutes when a slick set piece free kick worked perfectly as Luke Brown who looked like he was going to shoot slipped the ball wide to Ryan Jolland and he then sent the ball in close to goal for Ollie Canfer to convert.

After the break Bury Town’s attacking play started to flow also their passing and movement was a lot more fluid. On 47 minutes Cemal Ramadan worked the ball into the box but his short pass looking for Ollie Canfer was cleared.
On 50 minutes Lowestoft had a great chance to pull level when a high ball into the box was collected by Sam Johnson but he shot wide. On the hour Bury found another gear and stared to enjoy more of the attacking play.
On 71 minutes Tom Thulborn drove forward for Bury then worked the ball into the box from out wide and his powerful strike was saved well by Warren Burwood.
On 72 minutes a great chip into the box from Tom Thulborn box found Cemal Ramadan and a quality finish gave Bury some breathing space as Ramadan lifted the ball over the 'keeper and into the net.
On 75 minutes Bury were back on the attack with Max Maughn pressing forward and setting up Oliver Yun to strike but he shot an inch wide of the far post.
On 79 minutes Cemal Ramadan turned provider when he got the ball to the edge of the box and found Luke Brown who lifted his shot through a crowed box and into the top corner.
On 84 minutes Max Maughn went on a great run forward and into the box but he shot just over the bar and two minutes later another purposeful run forward by Thulborn saw him get a shot away and the 'keeper made a good save but the loose ball fell to Max Maughn but his follow up shot was blocked as Bury threatened to run riot.
A blistering end to the game from Bury ensured they took a big win against the high flying Trawler Boys and gave the home fans a fantastic to start their Christmas festivities.
