Another setback for Bury Town as an own goal and red card prove costly at Humber Doucy Lane

Bury Town suffered another defeat, this time at the hands of improving Ipswich Wanderers who have now made it four wins and a draw from their last five games, a goal in each half was enough for the home side.
Bury did not help themselves as they made more costly mistakes throughout the 90 minutes. Wanderers started the game on the attack and tested Bury’s new 'keeper Charlie Beckwith after just 2 minutes, but the 'keeper was up to the challenge and made a good save.
Bury had a chance on 6 minutes with Ryan Jolland finding space to shoot but Craig Brand made the save to send the ball out for a corner. From the corner Ryan Horne shot wide.
On 15 minutes Bury were again on the attack but Luke Brown shot over the bar but shortly afterwards Bury gave the home side a helping hand when an attempted clearance deflected off Joe White and ended up in the back of the net to give Wanderers the lead.
Bury thought they had pulled level on 25 minutes when a shot from Luke Brown hit the feet of Ryan Jolland on the way in but offside was given. Bury won a free kick in a good position on 29 minutes but Ed Upson put his effort straight in to the hands of Craig Brand.
Another Bury attack on 32 minutes saw Luke Brown shoot wide.
Bury suffered another blow on 38 minutes when Ryan Jolland picked up a second yellow card for a late challenge and was dismissed.
Max Maughn went close for Bury a minute later when his effort on goal was tipped over the bar by Craig Brand.

The ten men of Bury started the second half on the attack. On 54 minutes Bury got forward with Max Maughn putting a good cross into the box for Jose Santa De La Paz put he headed just wide.
On 60 minutes Wanderers won a corner which Charley Barker sent into the box but Bury got the ball clear. On 65 minutes Wanderers went on the attack with Cameron Brown getting into the Bury box but some quick thinking from 'keeper Charlie Beckwith soon had the ball back in Bury’s possession.
Wanderers then won the ball back and went straight back on the attack with Andy Fennell getting down the wing to cross the ball into the box, but the ball went harmlessly straight across the face of goal.
On 69 minutes Jamie Eaton-Collins broke forward for Wanderers but shot over the bar with his strike. Luke Brown saw his effort for Bury on 72 minutes go directly into the hands of Craig Brand.
Josh Curry had a chance for Bury on 82 minutes but put his header wide of the target and Will Gardner also had a chance late on for Bury but could only find the side netting with his shot.
On 90 minutes Cameron Brown put the game beyond doubt as he hit the back of the net to double the lead for the home side as it was another tough afternoon for Bury Town but they remain in 15th spot despite another defeat but another win lifts Ipswich Wanderers up the league to 11th.
