On 55 minutes a driving run forward from Ryan Jolland saw his shot from outside the box hit the bar. Bury did not have to wait long to make the extra man count as on 57 minutes another good attacking spell from Bury came to completion when Luke Brown picked up the ball and scored again in off the post giving keeper James Askew no chance.
On 67 minutes Luke Brown almost completed his hat trick but for an outstanding one handed save around the post from James Askew. Brown then turned from goal scorer to goal provider on 68 minutes when a great through ball sent Max Maughn in on goal and he slotted the ball into the bottom corner.
Cemal Ramadan came off the bench and got straight into the action as he hit the back of the net on 72 minutes only for the goal to be ruled as offside. Stowmarket broke forward on 81 minutes with Ollie Sims putting a good cross into the box for Scott Sloots, but Ollie Fenn got in a vital header to clear.
