An entertaining game throughout with plenty of talking points as Bury Town and Brentwood Town got their league season's underway.

Bury Town started their Isthmian League campaign with an well earned three points against one of the pre-season favourites Brentwood Town at the OCS Ram Meadow Stadium thanks to goals from Cemal Ramadan and Luke Brown.
After three minutes Luke Brown got to the edge of the box for Bury but his low strike lacked power as the ball went towards goal. Brentwood then put a long goal kick into the Bury box which was picked up by Matthew Price, but he shot wide.
On 13 minutes Brentwood put a good cross into the Bury box but a vital interception from Ollie Fenn got the ball clear. On 21 minutes George Craddock put a great cross into the box for Brentwood which found Jack Adlington Pile in a position to shoot but Ryan Jolland was back helping the defence and he got the ball clear.
Bury took the lead on 28 minutes, Jose Santa De La Paz who had to leave the pitch after being fouled and was waved back on by the referee and he came back on the pitch from the sidelines and immediately won the ball and played a great ball to set up Cemal Ramadan who scored with a classy finish. Brentwood were not happy with the move and swamped the line man to protest but the referee rightly waved them all away and the goal stood.
On 31 minutes Ryan Jolland hit a shot from out wide and from distance which flew towards goal but just over the bar and in injury time Ryan Jolland was in the thick of the action again when he powered down the wing and into the box to find Jose Santa De La Paz with a short pass, but his shot was saved well by Melvin Minter.

Half Time: Bury Town 1 Brentwood Town 0

Just after the break Luke Brown added a second goal for Bury to put them in the driving seat when Ryan Jolland put a corner low and directly to Brown and with a low driven strike he slotted the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
On 54 minutes a quick Brentwood attack saw George Craddock put a great ball forward for Matthew Price, but he could only find the side netting with his shot from close range. On 55 minutes a pacey cross into the box for Brentwood by Jack Adlington Pile went just too high for the head of Daniel Ogunleye.
On 69 minutes Ryan Jolland went on another run down the wing and into the box but was tripped over in the box but incredibly the play was waived on. The game continued to go from end to end and Bury looked to be heading for a clean sheet win but Brentwood never gave up and George Craddock managed to bundle the ball over the goal line to pull a goal back for the visitors on 89 minutes.
The game went into injury time and the result could have been very different. First a clumsy challenge from the Bury 'keeper gifted Brentwood a penalty but George Craddock who had been on his game all afternoon put the spot kick over the bar.
Then Matthew Price had a golden opportunity deep in injury time for Brentwood when he was in on goal with the 'keeper beat Price looked certain to score but a superb goal line clearance from Oliver Yun saved the day and the win for Bury Town.
