Biggleswade United struck first but Bury Town stayed determined and continued to press forward and some good finishing saw the Blues go through

Bury Town started this Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie on the front foot as the pouring rain came down but that did not hold the Blues back. On 7 minutes Cemal Ramadan tried a shot from distance which Biggleswade United 'keeper Caleb Chandler could only palm over the bar.
After 12 minutes Ed Upson set up Ramadan in the box but his shot was blocked and the follow up strike from Upson was deflected over the bar. Soon after Biggleswade United broke forward with 16 minutes on the clock with Coree Wilson sending Jaiden Irish into the box, but he scuffed his shot, and the chance was gone.
19 minutes had passed when Caleb Chandler pulled off another good save from a strike from Ramadan. Bury were controlling the half but it was Biggleswade United who took the lead. On 23 minutes a corner played in by Gareth Hunt was only half cleared by the Bury defence and to ball fell to Joe Babbage who put Biggleswade in front from close range.
Bury continued to press forward and won a corner on 35 minutes which was scuffed into the box by Luke Brown but luckily found its way through to Max Maughn who kept his cool and slotted home the equaliser.
On 44 minutes Jose Santa De La Paz, on as a substitute for Ed Upson, broke forward for Bury and went on into the box, but his strike was saved well by Caleb Chandler. With the game looking to be level at half time Cemal Ramadan was in the right place to score in injury time with a follow up shot from Luke Brown’s first effort and Bury had turned the game around and were worthy of their half time lead.

Half Time: Bury Town 2 Biggleswade United 1

The second half was a much more even affair in terrible conditions as Biggleswade United fought hard to get back into the game. On 48 minutes Cemal Ramadan tried a shot from distance heading to the near post but another good save from Caleb Chandler denied the Bury striker his second goal.
On 52 minutes Biggleswade United got into the box with Markel Cousins looking to strike before the Bury defence shut the play down. On 54 minutes the visitors were back on the attack with Jesus Mendoza working the ball into the Bury box and his short pass found Coree Wilson but the Bury defence was quick to win the ball back.
A Biggleswade corner on 62 minutes played in by Gareth Hunt almost found Jaiden Irish but the ball went just too long. Bury went on the attack on 68 minutes with another slick move which saw Cemal Ramadan strike from distance but again Caleb Chandler made a great save to send the ball over the bar.
A scramble in the Bury box on 78 minutes saw the ball going from player to player as Bury desperately tried to get the ball clear which eventually they did.
The game then became more comfortable for Bury on 80 minutes as Cemal Ramadan showed some great skill in the box and finished in style to grab his second goal. Ramadan almost got his hat trick on 89 minutes when he got into the box and hit the bar from a very tight angle but Cole Skuse's side had done enough to win the game and to be in the draw for the next round of this seasons FA Cup.
