Midfielder makes the switch from Soham Town Rangers

Bury Town are pleased to announce that Joe Carden has signed for the Blues, transferring from Bostik North rivals Soham Town Rangers today.

Joe is an attacking wide midfielder who has been with Soham for the past couple of seasons, but has also played for Histon, St Ives Town and Cambridge City. He was also awarded 'Managers Player of the Season' last year at Soham.

Ben Chenery was delighted to sign the 21 year old and said "Joe is someone I have been very impressed with whenever he has played against us and whenever I have seen him in action for Soham. He will be a valuable addition to our squad and at 21, is very much a player for the future"

"He has plenty of experience of this level already and I am delighted he has chosen to sign for us. We have looked to sign him in the past, but the time is now right for both parties and I am sure our supporters will be looking forward to seeing him in action for us as he is an exciting and attacking player"

"I am looking to build a team of young, hungry, local players who have the ability to take us out of this division, and adding Joe to the players that we signed in the summer is excellent news"

"As well as welcoming Joe to the club, I would like to thank Soham Town Rangers for their co-operation once Joe indicated he wished to sign for us"
