Bury Town took another win in this seasons Velocity Trophy group stages. Goals from Cemal Ramadan (2) and Emmanuel Machaya made for a comfortable night for the Blues. With the game only 6 minutes in Bury were awarded a penalty for a rash challenge on Ryan Jolland from 'keeper Joshua Blunkell. Cemal Ramadan has proved lethal from the spot this season and made no mistake in dispatching his spot kick again. On 13 minutes Ramadan put a curling effort around the defence and Blunkell had to pull of a good save to deny Ramadan his second goal. Ramadan was in the thick of the action again on 18 minutes after a good build up from Bury but he shot wide of the far post. Ramadan was not to be denied for long and on 20 minutes a cross in to the box found Ramadan at an almost impossible angle out wide in the box and his shot hit Blunkell and ended up in the back of the net to give Bury a two goal lead. Ollie Hughes went on another incredible run on 24 minutes bringing the ball from out wide to inside the box, but his shot was blocked. Sudbury had a rare break forward on 37 minutes and a cross into the near post was easy for Bury 'keeper George Bugg. Bury looked in total control going into the break.
