Coggeshall Town (A)

An even game on the whole saw little in the way of shots on target. On 4 minutes Bury worked the ball in to the box and Jake Chambers Shaw had hit shot blocked by Joseph Denny. Ross Crane got into the box for Bury on 9 minutes, but his shot was blocked by Jayden Gipson. Coggeshall got in to the box on 13 minutes but a soft shot from Ibrahim Kehinde saw easy for Bury keeper Sam Blair to collect. On 14 minutes Ollie Hughes won the ball on the wing for Bury and worked his way into the box but shot wide with his effort. Coggeshall had the ball in the net on 16 minutes only to be ruled out for a foul in the build-up. On 19 minutes Ross Crane showed good skill to turn his man and get into the box and gave Jake Chambers Shaw a chance in front of goal but a slip at the vital moment meant the chance had gone. Bury’s best chance of the game came on 28 minutes with Chambers Shaw blasting a shot goalward and keeper Matthew Cafer pulled off an outstanding save to send the ball over the bar. on 38 minutes Coggeshall were on the attack but a poor shot from Kudos Oyenuga saw the ball go wide. Coggeshall made the break through just before the break when a corner was headed home by Oyenuga at the near post on 43 minutes.

Second half was more of the same. On 49 minutes Bury were on the attack with Cemal Ramadan getting in to the box and playing a good pass to Samson Bello but a miss kick saw the ball cleared up field. On 53 minutes Coggeshall won a free kick in a dangerous position but Callum Harrison put his shot wide. on 56 minutes Max Maughn got down the wing and lifted the ball into the box looking for Ramadan but a vital header from Jamal Balogun made the clearance. On 59 minutes Coggeshall were on the attack and Callum Harrison had a chance but his soft effort was easy for Sam Blair. Coggeshall added a second goal on 60 minutes when a loose ball in the box caused chaos in the Bury back line and the ball fell to Ibrahim Kehinde who netted from close range. On 64 minutes Ollie Hughes got a cross in to the box looking for Ramadan but his soft header went straight into the hands of Matthew Cafer. On 71 minutes Jermain Francis saw his effort from distance go well wide of the mark for Coggeshall. Francis had another half chance on 74 minutes after working the ball into the box but a superb challenge from Joe White gave the ball back to Bury. The game continued to move slowly from end to end but neither side looked like adding any further goals. Coggeshall defended well and gave away little for Bury to work with and they took the win at the final whistle.
