Bury Town bounce back to winning ways in style

Bury Town got back to winning ways with a comfortable home win over lowly Felixstowe & Walton United. With key players returning from injury and illness Bury looked more like a top four side. Joe White got Bury going on 7 minutes with a nicely taken shot from close range after a loose ball broke to him in the box. On 18 minutes Ryan Jolland and Jake Chambers Shaw linked up well but Felixstowe keeper Jack Spurling made a good stop. Cemal Ramadan picked up the ball in the box for Bury on 26 minutes and a good turn and strike was matched by another good save from Spurling. On 30 minutes a long ball over the Bury defence to Ollie Canfer was intercepted by Bury keeper Daniel Barden. Armani Schaar got through the center for Felixstowe on 35 minutes but a superb tackle and clearance from Joe White ended the chance. Bury were awarded a penalty on 42 minutes after Ryan Jolland was sent sprawling in the box and Cemal Ramadan scored from the spot.

After the break Bury were finding their form. On 52 minutes a free kick from just outside the box was hit just wide of the post by Ross Crane. On 64 minutes Bury grabbed a third. Superb skills from Ross Crane saw him go between two defenders and on into the box to find Ramadan who smashed the ball home. Max Maughn went on a driving run in to the box for Bury on 67 minutes but ran into trouble with two defenders in quick to send the ball upfield. On 69 minutes Jake Chambers Shaw had a good strike saved well by Spurling. Two late penalties saw Emmanuel Machaya brought down in the box and he dusted himself off to score from the spot for Bury on 88 minutes and George Clarke score a consolation goal for Felixstowe on 90 minutes. Bury end their run of defeats with a good performance and get back to pushing for at least a playoff place.
