Back to back wins as Bury Town start to find their form

Three second half goals for Bury Town gave them back to back 3-0 wins in another good team performance against Tilbury. The Blues are finding their confidence in front of goal of late and they added another three quality finishes to their recent goal tally. Bury started on the attack and on 3 minutes Jake Chambers Shaw put a free kick on to the head of Kyran Clements who headed just wide. On 8 minutes Mitchell Gilbey hit his free kick for Tilbury a foot over the bar. Chambers Shaw then hit another powerful free kick on 16 minutes which had Tilbury 'keeper Rhys Madden saving in the top corner. On 23 minutes Chambers Shaw hit a thumping strike which was saved well by Madden and with Tanner Call with the follow up header, Madden made a second good save. Tempers flared on 26 minutes and resulted in Simon Peddie being sent off with a straight red card, and a booking for each side. Bury had a shout for a penalty on 37 minutes when Tanner Call was tripped in the box, but the Referee waved play on. The half ended with Bury making the extra man count with possession, but the score was level at the break.

Half Time: Bury Town 0 Tilbury0

Bury came out on the attack and on 46 minutes Ollie Hughes was clean through on the keeper but a good save from the feet of Madden stopped the shot. Jake Chambers Shaw netted a well taken goal on 47 minutes, making some space for himself he coolly slotted his shot past Madden and in to the bottom corner, his first goal in a Bury shirt. In form Ryan Jolland then put Bury two goals to the good on 59 minutes with a good run through the midfield and shooting through the keepers’ legs to net the Blues second. Ollie Hughes grabbed a third for Bury on 65 minutes getting on the end of a cross and falling backwards still managed to get enough on the ball to slot his shot past Rhys Madden. Bury also finished the game with ten men after Ryan Horne was dismissed late in the second half after picking up his second yellow card for a handball. Bury continued to press forward until the final whistle and took their second consecutive 3 -0 win and are starting to show what they are capable of in front of goal, ahead of the visit of Maldon & Tiptree on Tuesday.
