Missed chances and some great goalkeeping was the order of play in the latest local derby. Both sides found it tough going in front of goal while both keepers played a solid game. On 5 minutes a good cross in to the box from Joe Carden for Bury saw safe hands from Mildenhall keeper Jake Hayhoe. Carden played another good chip to the far side of the box on 34 minutes looking for Hughes but the ball has too much pace as the ball ran out of play. A rare mistake from Hayhoe on 37 minutes saw him spill the ball in a crowded six-yard box but quick reactions meant he collected the ball with a follow up save. On 40 minutes a mistake at the other end saw Luis Tibbles miss kick a clearance straight to Matt Hayden who worked the ball in to the box, Kyran Clements made a superb block from Hayden’s first strike and Tibbles made up for his error with a fantastic save from close range from Hayden’s follow up strike. Chances were there for both sides, but the half would end goalless.
