Bury Town get back to winning ways in style
It was five of the best for The Blues as they bounced back to winning ways. Cemal Ramadan opened the scoring with just 2 minutes on the clock. A great through ball up field found Ramadan in acres of space and on side with just the keeper to beat and Ramadan coolly put his shot past the keeper and in to the back of the net. On 7 minutes Jake Chambers Shaw hit a strike from the edge of the box which had Witham keeper Luca Collins saving low and at full stretch to put the ball out past the post. Bury were attacking at will and on 25 minutes a superb solo attack from Ryan Horne saw him work the ball through the Witham ranks and found space to hit a powerful low drive past Collins and inside the far post to double the lead for Bury. Luis Tibbles who has been in great form for Bury made a vital save on 35 minutes showing lightning reflexes to stop a well hit strike from close range from Toby Aromolaran. Ryan Jolland got in on the action on 42 minutes, hitting a great free kick towards the top of the net but for a good save from Collins to palm the ball out over the bar. Bury were in total control as time went on and on 43 minutes had another goal to celebrate with Ollie Hughes fining space in the box to head home from a corner with the perfect downward header to give Collins no chance as Bury went three goals to the good at the break.
Half Time: Bury Town 3 Witham Town 0
Second half Witham came out with a new sense of purpose and soon started to create chances of their own in front of goal. This attitude paid off on 52 minutes when Toby Aromolaran took advantage of a mistake at the back from Bury and stayed calm to fire the ball past Luis Tibbles to give Witham new hope. Another good chance fell to Aromolaran on 54 minutes as his well hit effort was saved by the hand of Tibbles and the ball went out for a corner. Bury were not to be out done and the game opened into a very entertaining second half. The game was moving from end to end and Bury looked very dangerous with each corner kick and on 57 minutes Kyran Clements showed how deadly Bury can be at corners as he owned the ball in to the box with a powerful header that hit the back of the net like a rocket. The action was at the other end on 75 minutes when Aromolaran again took advantage of a mistake to score his second goal for Witham with another great strike past Tibbles. The game continued to go from one end to the other and on 80 minutes Clements proved again why he is deadly in the box with another fantastic header in to the back of the net. A great response from Bury after their defeat in the last game as they push for the play offs.
