Background:Bury Town return to the Denny Bros Stadium on Saturday and welcome Canvey Island to West Suffolk for a Bostik North encounter. The Gulls defeated the Blues earlier in the season by a 2-0 scoreline, for just their 4th win over Bury since the two sides first met in the Isthmian North division back in 2006. Since that game, Canvey manager Danny Heale has stepped upstairs and his position has been taken by Mark Bentley who was previously manager of Grays Athletic. His side will be looking for their 4th straight away win, and although their home form has been indifferent of late, last weekend they defeated Mildenhall Town 2-1 at Park Lane.
The Blues go into the game on the back of two good performances, but ultimately no points as AFC Sudbury won 3-2 at the Denny Bros Stadium on New Years Day and last weekend we went down by the same scoreline at Grays Athletic. Ben Chenery will be hoping his side can be more profilic in front of goal against his old side, where he lifted the FA Trophy after scoring the winning goal against Forest Green Rovers at Villa Park in front of over 10,000 in May 2001.
Injury News: There is no fresh injury or suspension news ahead of the match, however defender Jake Kerins has left the club following an approach and joined King's Lynn Town.
Last time out: Canvey Island 2 Bury Town 0 - 1st September 2018
