Sudbury take the win to move above Bury
Bury Town were left to regret a multitude of missed chances. In the 3rd minute Cemal Ramadan tested Sudbury 'keeper Paul Walker as he put a shot to the far post, but Walker made the save with one hand to put the ball past the post. Jake Chambers Shaw picked up the ball for Bury in midfield and hit his shot just wide of the post on 6 minutes. Next, Ryan Stafford collected a pass from Chambers Shaw and got in to the box only to shoot straight at the keeper who made the block on 8 minutes. Sudbury had a good chance on 16 minutes as Liam Bennett got in to the Bury box but put his shot high over the bar. Ryan Horne showed good skill to make space on the wing on 19 minutes but his cross in for Ramadan in the box was just to high as the ball went over his head. On 23 minutes Ryan Jolland worked the ball from midfield and got in to the box beating one defender but not the second as the ball was cleared upfield. Sudbury took the lead with a well taken free kick from Joe Whight, hitting the ball around the wall and in to the bottom corner of the net. Bury had another good chance on 39 minutes with Horne chipping the ball to the far post to Ramadan but his header went just wide of the far post.

The second half saw Bury not get the freedom they had enjoyed in the first half as Sudbury tighten up their shape. On 48 minutes Ryan Horne put a great ball out for Cemal Ramadan on the wing but he could not find Ryan Jolland in the box as the ball went over Jolland’s head. On 54 minutes Ryan Stafford made a run in to the box an got a shot away but Walker made another good save. On 58 minutes Sudbury had a chance to double their lead with Tom Dettmar putting a cross in for Ben Hunter but the cross was to high for Hunter to make the header. On 65 minutes a superb ball from Jolland found Ramadan in on goal and Ramadan beat the keeper but hit the far post with his effort. Bury gave the ball away at the back on 66 minutes and Sudbury pounced to score their second goal with Paul Hayes making the most of the mistake. Another mistake from Bury on 86 minutes gave Sudbury another chance on goal and Tom Dettmar made Bury pay as he scored Sudbury’s third goal. With the game looking all but done as a result Bury went up a gear and pulled a goal back on 90 minutes with substitute Emmanuel Machaya hitting a powerful strike off the under side of the bar and in to the net. On 91 minutes a thumping header from Kyran Clements gave Walker no chance as Bury pulled another goal back. It was all Bury at the end, but time ran out as Sudbury took a narrow win to move above Bury in the league table.
