Bury Town cruise through to the next round of the Suffolk Premier Cup

Bury Town go into the draw for the next round of the Turners Hyundai Suffolk Premier Cup with a dominant performance at The Denny Bros Stadium against Felixstowe & Walton United.
Bury hit the ground running and took the lead with just 3 minutes on the clock. A quick Blues attack saw Ryan Stafford get forward and into the box to slot his well-placed shot past Felixstowe 'keeper Daniel Crump.
On 6 minutes Felixstowe went close with a free kick which was headed wide but Josh Kerridge. Felixstowe had another chance on 13 minutes with Callum Bennett getting to the edge of the box but shooting wide.
Bury went two goals up on 16 minutes after some good skills from Emmanuel Machaya and Ryan Horne before Cemal Ramadan put the ball past Crump from close range. On 36 minutes Bury went close to a third goal with Machaya hitting the post and getting to the rebound before shooting wide of the other post.
Bury 'keeper George Bugg needed to be alert on 39 minutes when a deflected shot from distance had him saving low at the far post.

The second half saw Bury continued to attack at will. On 49 minutes Emmanuel Machaya put a good cross in to the box looking for Cemal Ramadan but the ball went too close to the 'keeper who made the catch.
A minutes later Ryan Stafford when on a run in to the box but shot high over the bar. On 54 minutes Ramadan turned provider setting put Machaya with a neat pass across goal beating the keeper and finding Machaya running in to put Bury three goals up.
Max Maughn was in on goal for Bury on 59 minutes with the keeper rushing out to block the shot, but he put his chip shot just wide of the post.
Ryan Horne put a decent cross in the box on 65 minutes looking for Ollie Hughes, but a good defensive clearance ended the move. Bury could have had a fourth goal on 67 minutes with Machaya shooting from inside the box but a superb goal line clearance from Jamal Wiggins denied Machaya his second goal.
Bury did get their fourth goal on 75 minutes with Hughes breaking into the box and finding Machaya who’s shot was blocked but went out to Ryan Stafford who hit a low powerful strike that few in to the back of the net.
Bury were caught napping on 77 minutes when Adam Hanson broke through the Bury back line to grab a goal back for the visitors, however Bury saw the game out with ease and booked their place in the draw for the next round.
