Bury Town have signed left back Will Gardner from Soham Town Rangers. Gardner has previously had a short spell with the Blues after signing from Haverhill Rovers, but after a couple of seasons at Soham, he has now signed up to be part of Ben Chenery's side for the 2019-20 campaign.

Ben Chenery had to say "Will is someone we have been keeping an eye on and I have had good reports. He has had a couple of years experience now at this level with Soham and he is within the age range we are looking for at the moment. I am looking at players we can develop over the next few years and building a side that will be able to stick together and progress"

"Will has played with some of our current players before at Soham so will have no issues in fitting in with our side"

Ben also had a further say on more incoming signings "I continue to be talking to a couple of potential new players that fit what we are looking for, I hope to get these concluded this week. The goalkeeper situation is sorted, but we are currently waiting to confirm the paperwork so we cannot announce anything at this moment . I've also got players coming along to pre-season training and with the friendlies starting this coming Saturday, I will be able to look at them and see if they can offer us something different"
