The league’s new vehicle leasing partner inspect what’s coming our way this weekend

The BetVictor Isthmian League’s new vehicle leasing partner Vanarama are keeping a very close eye on things with the Vanarama Non-League Watch!

Just as we were about to hit top speed in the BetVictor Isthmian North division, we’re taking another sharp turn towards cup football.

The diary is bulging at the seams with some clubs still in the FA Cup, Velocity Trophy ties and now the FA Trophy to contend with.

So what does the league landscape look like before we take a break?

AFC Sudbury and Basildon have both struggled to get going so far this season, but a Friday night meeting presents the perfect chance for them to make amends.

Early pacesetters Maldon & Tiptree have a perfect record but aren’t back in league action until mid-October.

That gives Grays Athletic a chance to put the pressure on – but they’ll have to wait until next week for their clash with Cambridge City.

Second place Bury Town are the only other unbeaten side in the division, but Tilbury won’t be coming quietly to Ram Meadow.

Aveley have yet to taste defeat on their travels, winning two and drawing two on the road so far. That could spell bad news for mid-table Witham Town whose home fans are still waiting to see the Town beat anyone on home soil this season.

Great Wakering Rovers seem to be back on the right track after their form took a dip – a trip to Histon could be the perfect chance to show they’re the real deal.

Coggleshall Town’s unbeaten start to the season was ended by Cambridge City last time out but Seed Growers boss Graeme Smith wants a reaction against Dereham Town.

The FA Trophy is on the horizon – bringing with it some tasty looking ties. Here’s what you can look forward to this weekend.

Strugglers Dereham Town might be glad for a break from league football as they prepare to host BetVictor Southern League Central side Halesowen Town.

Maldon & Tiptree are going great guns in the league having won all six of their games so far and entertain Felixstowe & Walton United for the second time in the space of a week.

Unbeaten Bury Town head to Lincoln United with a great game in prospect. The Lincolnshire-based side burst into life with a five-goal mauling of Sheffield FC in midweek – fingers crossed for a classic!

Elsewhere, Hullbridge Sports entertain Barton Rovers while inform Coggleshall Town face a 200-mile round-trip to Bracknell.

Heybridge Swifts are enjoying September so far – they haven’t lost – and welcome Hertford Town to Scraley Road, a side who have conceded 15 goals in their last three games.

Canvey Island have lost two on the bounce in the league so might see a trip to Welwyn Garden City as a chance to take the shackles off and impress.

The BetVictor Isthmian League’s new leasing partner Vanarama have recently launched the Club Reward scheme to help fans back their club’s budget. Every time a fan takes out a brand new van lease with Vanarama or a brand new car lease with Mototama their club will earn £100 and you will receive £30 cashback!
