Midfielder makes the switch from Greens to Blues ahead of new season

Bury Town are pleased to welcome new signing Ryan Auger to the club from Soham Town Rangers. The midfielder has made the switch from the Cambridgeshire club after joining them in 2018.

Auger started his career with Southend United at age 11 and progressed to earn a professional contract with the Shrimpers aged 19. He made his debut in the Football League in October 2013 against Newport County.

After leaving Southend he played for Bishops’s Stortford, Histon and Bedford Town, from where he joined Soham. He made 89 appearances for the Greens over the past 4 seasons including the two Covid disrupted seasons.

Manager Ben Chenery had to say “Ryan is a player I have admired for a number of seasons. He handles the ball well and will compliment our existing squad.

“I am delighted that Ryan has agreed to continue his football with Bury Town and I look forward to working with him during the forthcoming season”
