Former Sudbury man signs on at the Denny Bros Stadium

Bury Town are pleased to welcome new signing Ross Crane to the club. The 17 year old joins from AFC Sudbury after being part of their academy set up and playing for the Yellows in the final 14 games of their 2018-19 Isthmian League season. He was previously with Colchester United’s academy before joining Sudbury.

Ross has played a major part in the Blues pre-season fixtures and has now agreed to sign for the upcoming Isthmian League season.

Ben Chenery, who is excited with the talent his new signing has, had to say:

“I am delighted that Ross has decided to join our club. I met with him and his family and sold what our club was all about and he wants to be part of it. He feels he can further develop his career with us”

“He turned down the chance of training with a professional club to stay with Sudbury at the end of last season so for him now to join us certainly shows we are an attractive proposition for local players. We have a good reputation of players progressing from our club to the higher levels of non-league football and also into the Football League"
