Bury Town are pleased to welcome striker Ollie Canfer to the club following his move today from fellow Isthmian North Division side Stowmarket Town.
The forward was previously with us from 2015-2018 after signing from AFC Sudbury. He has gone on to play for Stowmarket Town, Mildenhall Town, Felixstowe & Walton United before heading back to Stowmarket for a second spell this summer, scoring 3 times from 12 starts.
Paul Musgrove had to say "Ollie was a player we had identified that we wanted to bring to the club. He has plenty of experience of this level having played in this division for a number of years now.
"We spoke to Ollie in the summer but were not able to get it over the line on that occasion, but we have been able to now and I am delighted that he will come into our squad and give us a much needed boost with his experience and his quality.
"We are continuing to shape the squad as we would like and identify areas that we need to improve. Adding a player with the ability of Ollie to the squad is certainly a step in the right direction and myself and Cole look forward to working with him"
"We are all aware that recent results have not been to the high standard we set ourselves and the management team and players are all working hard to improve our performances and league position"
With the paperwork cleared in time, Canfer will go into the squad for our next fixture at Maldon & Tiptree on Saturday 18th November.
