With Bury looking to have done enough first half to take the win a slice of good luck late in the game gave the visitors the equaliser
Bury started the game on the attack but it took until the 14th minutes for their first shot on target when a good block save from Lewis Greene denied Shaun Avis his first Bury goal. Hullbridge won a free kick on 15 minutes just outside of the Bury box and a sweet strike from Darius Guinea beat the wall and Bury keeper Ben Mayhew as it went in to the top corner. On 19 minutes Hullbridge went on the attack again with Alex Moss crossing the ball into the Bury box but a soft headed effort from Ellis Lawson was easy for the Bury keeper to collect. On 28 minutes Ellis Lawson got to the edge of the box but his strike was blocked and cleared by Carlos Edwards. Cemal Ramadan got down the wing for Bury on 33 minutes and put a good ball into the box looking for Shaun Avis, but the defence managed to get the ball headed clear. Carlos Edwards got forward for Bury on 40 minutes and he got into the box, but his shot was blocked. Defences were on top for most of the half that is until on 44 minutes when Cemal Ramadan got to a loose ball in the box and fired Bury level. In first half injury time Cemal Ramadan put Bury in front with a superb solo effort, picking up the ball just over the half way line he went on a run and got in to the box to score with a cool finish.

Second half the game went from end to end but both defences looked in no mood to give anything away. On 55 minutes some excellent ball control from Cemal Ramadan saw him get past his marker and send Lee Watkins on his way in the box but some superb defending from Emmanuel Folarin saw him win the ball back and work his way out of the box and clear the ball up field. On 57 minutes Cruis Nydazayo battled hard to win the ball and get in to the box for Bury but his cross went to close to the keeper who made the catch. Hullbridge attacked again on 58 minutes with Alex Moss putting the ball into the Bury box looking for Sonny Dutton, but Ben Mayhew read the play well and got a hand to the ball and collected it. On 61 minutes Bury looked to have scored a third goal when a good cross in the box from Charley Barker was headed home by Shaun Avis but it was ruled offside. In the next Bury attack Cemal Ramadan drove forward and on in to the box only to shoot wide. Another good attack from Bury came on 72 minutes which saw Shaun Avis find Cruis Nydazayo with a neat pass and his ball into the box was inches away from the head of Cemal Ramadan but the chance came to nothing. With the game drawing to a close Hullbridge got a late equaliser when Alex Moss put a cross into the box and Ben Mayhew made a good one handed save and as the Bury defence tried to clear the ball it hit Emmanuel Folarin and the ricochet went in to give Hullbridge Sports a share of the points.
