Bury Town are delighted to welcome Josh Curry to the Atalian Servest Stadium as our first new signing ahead of the 2023-24 season. Josh joins having spent the last two seasons at local rivals and fellow Isthmian League side Stowmarket Town.

Previous to his spell at Stowmarket, Josh played at step 3 for Lowestoft Town and can play either in defence or midfield and links up again with our new assistant manager Paul Musgrove who has twice signed him for both Walsham-Le-Willows and Stowmarket. He made 40 appearances for the Greens Meadow club last season and scored 4 goals, 1 of those coming against us in the recent Suffolk Premier Cup semi final defeat.

Manager Cole Skuse said “We had identified Josh Curry early on as a player we needed to get in, and obviously he has played under Paul Musgrove so we made contact and his signing will make a massive difference to the group”

Assistant Manager Paul Musgrove added “Josh is a versatile player who can play in a number of positions, but will prominently be a centre half or a centre midfield player. This will be the third time we have linked up together and he is very strong and a great leader.
He has great experience in this league and the league above and he's got massive respect with his team mates"
