The National North side, who won promotion via the play off's in the Southern League last season will provide a tough test for Ben Chenery's side, who were defeated 1-0 at Newmarket Town on Friday evening in a tight game.

The Linnets are managed by Ian Culverhouse and kicked off their pre-season friendlies in style on Saturday with a 1-5 win at Stamford. While scorelines remain unimportant at this stage of the season, Culverhouse will be happy that his side found the net with ease on Saturday.

It's a busy week of action for the Blues as they also travel to Mildenhall Town on Wednesday and Long Melford on Friday before welcoming Braintree Town next Saturday.
