Central Defender Taylor Hastings has signed for Bury Town following a short trial this summer. Hastings, who has recently re-located to the local area, played 30 times for Harlow Town in the Isthmian Premier Division last season, and has also represented Heybridge Swifts for whom he made 115 appearances.
Hastings was also part of the Felixstowe & Walton United squad that won promotion from the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division to the Isthmian League in 2017-18 but left in September to join Harlow and also played for Enfield Town in the Isthmian League.
The Blues required cover in central defence after the departure of Kyran Clements to Braintree Town over the summer, and manager Ben Chenery had to say:
"I became aware a few weeks ago that Taylor had relocated very close to us and was looking to play locally after playing for Harlow Town last season. He has played in our last few friendlies and impressed me. He is strong and experienced having played in our division and at 27 is a good age for our squad, he will fit in well with the rest of the players here and will be a good addition for us"
