The forward or attacking midfielder joins from Brightlingsea in time for Saturday

Bury Town have added to their squad with the arrival of Dan Gilchrist in time for Saturday's Pitching In Isthmian League match with Basildon United at Ram Meadow.

Gilchrist is an attacking midfielder or forward who has previously played for Barking, Canvey Island and Great Wakering Rovers in the Isthmian League.

This season he started at local rivals AFC Sudbury and featured in their FA Cup 1st Round tie with Colchester United. He scored 3 times in 13 appearances for Sudbury in this season's Isthmian North campaign.

He then joined Brightlingsea Regent for a short spell, but has signed for the Blues following a 7 day approach for his services.

Ben Chenery had to say "I am pleased to welcome Dan to the squad. I have heard good things about him from people I trust within the game and he lives locally, so I think he will be a good fit for us. He has experience of this league and he's looking to get a settled run in the team"
