Blair becomes the 3rd 'keeper from the Canaries to join the Blues following the successful spells of Daniel Barden and Joe Rose in previous years. He has recently signed a contract with Norwich until 2023 following a successful spell in their Under 18 side in which he also featured in the FA Youth Cup side.

He was also called up to the Republic of Ireland Under 21's squad in March of this year and looks to have a promising career ahead of him, having been with Norwich since the age of 10 and working his way through their academy system.

Manager Ben Chenery said "I would like to welcome Sam to the club. He has now met the players and played a couple of friendlies away from home"

Blair is likely to make his first home appearance at Ram Meadow this coming Saturday when the Blues take on Colchester United U23's, kick off 1pm.
