Bury Town welcome league rivals Histon FC in the FA Cup

Bury Town start their FA Cup adventure today as Histon visit the Denny Bros Stadium in the Extra Preliminary Round, kick off 3pm.

The first FA Cup game of a new season is always an important one for non-league clubs, with the rewards that a good cup run can bring. The cup has not been kind to us in recent years, and the last time we made any real progress in this competition was in the 2012-13 season when we reached the 4th Qualifying Round by defeating Canvey Island, Wingate & Finchley and Hampton & Richmond before going out at Dorchester Town. We have only won 3 games in the last 6 seasons so hopefully we will have a change of luck this season and make some real progress.

Our visitors Histon kicked off their FA Cup run two weeks ago with a 3-1 win at Desborough Town in the Extra Preliminary Round, they will also be classed as league rivals now as they have joined the Isthmian League after their promotion from the Eastern Counties League last season.

The admission prices are as follows:

Adult £10
Concession £6
Children 10-16 £2
Under 10 Free
Programmes £2
