Felixstowe & Walton the visitors to the Denny Bros Stadium

Bury Town take on Felixstowe & Walton United in the Velocity Trophy group stages this evening in what is a new format for the Isthmian League Cup.

The opening stage of the competition will be played on a group stage basis, and the Blues have been grouped with Felixstowe, Heybridge Swifts, Maldon & Tiptree, Coggeshall Town and AFC Sudbury.

Each club will play each other team once either home or away, and the winners of the group will progress to the next round. Three points will be awarded for a win, and if a game ends in a draw, both teams will receive a point, but the tie will go to penalties and an extra point will be awarded for the penalty shoot-out winners.

Our visitors this evening have not started the season as they would have wished and currently have three points from their opening 4 league matches, and were defeated 3-0 by Soham Town Rangers on Saturday. The Seasiders will get very familiar with the Denny Bros this season as we will also face each other in the Suffolk Premier Cup as well as the scheduled Isthmian League match.

Admission prices for tonight's match are as follows, unfortunately Season Tickets are not valid for Cup matches as per league rules:

Adult £10
Concession £6
Children 10-16 £2
Under 10 Free
Programmes £2
