It's early days but Ben Chenery is happy with pre-season progress

Despite just having two training sessions and two friendly matches so far, Ben Chenery is happy with the progress his side is making.

A young side lost 1-0 at Debenham LC last weekend, but a slightly more experienced side won 3-2 at Lakenheath on Tuesday and the manager has said his side will get stronger as the weeks progress.

"We fielded a young side at Debenham with a few first team players in to help them along, and they did well in difficult conditions. I put out a slightly more experienced team at Lakenheath and we were very good in the first half, with new singing Jarid Robson playing very well in midfield and also scoring"

"We will be putting out a stronger side in our next few games, and I hope to have a couple more new signings completed very soon. Its a busy time for everyone at the moment, and we are all training together at the moment, with the Under 23's and Under 18's all mixed in with the first team"

"I'm looking forward to our first home pre-season match next week against King's Lynn Town. It is a very tough opponent for us but it will be good to test ourselves against higher league opposition who won promotion last season, and it will give me a better idea of where we are at, and what I need to improve"
