Blues remain unbeaten after the first two League fixtures

Ben Chenery was content with a point from his sides trip to Witham Town on Tuesday evening. Following Saturday's 3-1 win over Basildon United, he was again looking for his side to collect maximum points, but it was a difficult evening and in truth a very poor game.

Ben said "At the end of the day we have picked up a point and remain unbeaten. The pitch was difficult and not conducive to any sort of football, which resulted in both teams playing long. Witham were dangerous and also had a long throw in their locker so our defence had a difficult evening"

"Their goal was a mistake on our part and we must cut those errors out. The goal against Basildon was also avoidable, we must make sure that this does not become common"

"We responded within a minute and that was vital as had we been behind for too long it could have made it tough for us to get back in it, but a good move and finish from Jake Chambers Shaw was about the only quality that was shown in the game"

"We struggled to really make any clear cut chances in the second half, and Witham had a couple of efforts, so we take the point and move on to Saturday's FA Cup game"
