Background:Bury Town will be looking to build on two successive 3-0 home victories at the Denny Bros Stadium when they welcome Maldon & Tiptree this evening for a re-arranged Bostik League North game. The Blues have hit top form in the past couple of weeks, scoring goals and keeping clean sheets key to the success of Ben Chenery's side. The Blues beat Tilbury by 3 goals to 0 on Saturday thanks to second half goals from Jake Chambers Shaw, Ryan Jolland and Ollie Hughes.
Those results have helped the Blues leapfrog their opponents this evening, with Maldon suffering a 0-4 home reverse against AFC Sudbury in their last Bostik League game, before going out of the FA Trophy at home to Royston Town on Saturday. These results are surprising as Maldon & Tiptree, despite having a young team, have a squad packed with experienced of higher levels, and also many talents youngsters due to their link with Colchester United. They started the season well and were in the play off places during the early part of the season and Wayne Brown will be looking to get his side back in contention after a dip in form.
Results between the two sides have been evenly mixed in recent seasons. The 2017-18 season saw honours even between the two clubs, with a win a piece for the sides. Maldon & Tiptree took the points in Suffolk with a 2-1 victory in early October, when Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe scored from the spot after 57 minutes. Ricky Spriggs headed the Blues level after 66 minutes but Kieran Bailey won the game for Maldon with 13 minutes remaining. Bury gained revenge for that defeat with a 2-0 win at Park Drive later in the season, Jack Lankester, now playing for Ipswich Town in the Championship, put Town ahead after just 6 minutes and Cemal Ramadan made the game safe with just 3 minutes left when he slotted into the net to give Bury their first win at Park Drive for several years in front of 177 spectators

Injury News: Bury Town have captain Ollie Fenn will serve the final game of his three match suspension tonight.
