Defender moves on from Blues after approach from Linnets

Bury Town can confirm that defender Jake Kerins has left the club and transferred to King's Lynn Town after an approach from the Norfolk side earlier this week.

The 20 year old joined the Blues in the summer from Mildenhall Town but has now left for higher level King's Lynn after 19 appearances.

Manager Ben Chenery said to the Website "I am disappointed to lose Jake but once he became aware of the approach from King's Lynn, he wanted to speak to them and I felt he was always going to go. When a higher level club come in, players see it as a opportunity to progress and I wish him the best of luck as he furthers his football career"

"We have cover for his position at the moment in Ryley Scott on loan from Ipswich Town, but I now need to sit down with my staff and look more long term so I will do that in the next few days"

The club can also confirm that two other players were subject to seven day approaches in the past two weeks, one from a club at Step 3 and one at our level, Step 4, however both players informed Ben Chenery they were more than happy to remain with Bury Town and therefore will not be speaking to the clubs in question.
