Match report
Bury make it through to the next round

Bury Town make it through to the next round of this seasons Suffolk Premier Cup with a comfortable win in the end. Bury were in control for most of the first half helped by a harsh sending off by the Referee. Bury attacked from the start and in the first minutes Kyran Clements broke down the wing and put a cross in for Ollie Hughes who saw stretching to get to the ball and put hid shot high over the bar. Hughes when on a run through the center and found Cemal Ramadan who fired over the bar on 7 minutes. Michael Brother was then shown a straight red and sent off in the 25 minutes for Brantham after a soft foul and Ramadan stepped up to smash home from the spot. The game had been even to this point but after the sending off Bury took control. On 35 minutes Oliver Dunlop made it two for Bury his shot hitting the Brantham keeper and defected in to the empty net. Bury were attacking at will and on 45 minutes after a good spell of possession Bradley Barber had a walk in to put Bury three goals to the good at half time.

Second half Brantham reorganised and made more of a game of it but Bury were looking for more goals. On 53 minutes Clements made another break down the wing and his cross to the back of the box was just to long for Hughes to got on to. On 57 minutes Brantham had a chance to pull a goal back with Ben Newson getting in to the Bury box but lost control of the ball at the last minute and shot wide. On 60 minutes Brantham should have been down to 9 men after an obvious stamp on Ramadan from Jack Sibbons which was missed by all the officials. On 70 minutes a good attack from Bury saw David Cooper put a cross in for Hughes at the far post but the cross was too long. Brantham kept fighting scrapping for everything and on 73 minutes were awarded a penalty for a trip in the box and Edward Nobbs fired home from the spot. On 77 minutes Bury had the ball in the net again as Tevan Allen show great control with his chest to bring the ball down and hit his shot past the keeper only to be ruled out for handball. Bury made it through to the next round after their first half performance but Brantham should be proud of their performance having played the majority of the game with just 10 men.
