Another disappointing goalless draw for Blues

Bury Towns lack of goals of late continued as they record a goalless draw at local rivals Mildenhall Town. Chances were there for both sides but a lack of quality finishing was key throughout the game. On 4 minutes Ollie Hughes for Bury slipped the ball past the keeper and in to the bottom corner of the net only to be ruled offside. On 10 minutes Jacob Brown had a chance for Mildenhall but pulled his shot wide from the edge of the box. Another good chance for Bury came on 12 minutes with Ryan Jolland putting a good corner in and Kryan Clements headed wide from close range. 3 minutes later Hughes broke forward for Bury but again, shot wide. On 15 minutes Cemal Ramadan got in to the box and launched a thumping shot which stung the hands of Jacob Marsden. On 34 minutes Brown had another half chance to put Mildenhall ahead but scuffed his shot. Mildenhalls best chance of the game came on 41 minutes when Nick Ingram had his shot cleared off the line by David Cooper.

The chances kept coming for both teams second half. On 47 minutes Ingram headed wide from close range after a good corner in to the box. Hughes went on a run down the wing for Bury on 52 minutes but his cross in to the box was just too high for Ramadan who had taken up a good position in front of goal. A Mildenhall free kick on 61 minutes flew towards goal but Bury Keeper Ben Mayhew made the save. Darren Mills came off the bench to set up Tevan Allen on 70 minutes with a great cross in to the box but Allen headed over the bar. An overhead kick from Mills fell to Hughes in close to goal but Hughes headed over the bar on 80 minutes. Bury Towns best chance of the game came on 87 minutes with some quality build up play leading to Hughes getting in to the six-yard box with just the keeper to beat but Marsden made a superb one handed save to keep the score level. Late chances in the game saw Burys Bradley Barber scuff his shot from inside the box on 92 minutes and Mildenhalls Tom Debenham headed wide from close range on 93 minutes. Another goalless draw for Blues as they struggle to find the back of the net with only one league goal in 5 games.
