Another good win for the Blues as Bury Town find their form

Bury Town ran out winners again to bring the winning feeling back to the Bury faithful. Bury Town have hit good form of late and took just 6 minutes to make an impact on this game. A good build up from Bury found Jack Lankester on the edge of the box and a low hard strike into the bottom corner was inch perfect to beat sprawling keeper Christopher Haigh who got a fingertip to the ball but could not stop the ball hitting the back of the net. on 16 minutes Tommy Robinson hit a powerful shot for Bury which flew at gaol but a good stop from Haigh on his second attempt to save denied Robinson. A golden opportunity for Bury came on 24 minutes when a bouncing ball went high over the defence and straight to Ollie Hughes in the 6 yard box but good pressure form the defence robbed Hughes of a clean strike. Two late free kicks for Maldon in dangerous areas lead to a nervy end to the half but Bury saw it out to the whistle.

Maldon came out fighting and took control early in the second half. Ryan Clampin put a great cross in to the box for Maldon on 48 minutes, but Lee Barnard could not make the most of his free header. Another great chance for Maldon came on 53 minutes, after a good spell of possession a cross in to the box found Oliver Kensdale but his header on goal was soft and Bury keeper Luis Tibles had an easy save. On 50 minutes Maldon were on the attack again and again a good cross in to the box was headed wide by Kensdale. Bury almost doubled their lead on 64 minutes when a well hit free kick from Cemal Ramadan went inches over the bar. At the other end a free kick on the edge of the box from Rhys Henry was palmed over the bar by an acrobatic Tibbles. Maldon were moving the ball around well looking for the break through but on 87 minutes a superb counter attack from Bury found Ramadan on side, in acres of space and the coolest finish you are likely to see from Ramadan killed the game off as Bury took another win to keep their recent good form going.
