Bury Town take another home win with Ramadan double

Cemal Ramadan was on target twice as Blues come from behind. Bury looked dangerous from the start with Jack Lankester playing a great through ball to Ramadan in the box on 4 minutes but Ramadan shot wide. on 6 minutes Tevan Allen but his corning on to the bar with Jake Jessup just tipping the ball out of play. A great chance for Heybridge came on 15 minutes when Joe Gardner got the ball into the box but could only shoot wide. Ben Mayhew pulled of a brave save for Bury on 24 minutes from Harry Morgan’s point-blank effort. On 31 minutes Heybridge squandered another effort, with Mayhew off his line Morgan had to just place his shot in to the empty net but pulled his shot wide. A thumping shot from distance from Lankester flew goalward but was just too high. Just before the break Heybridge had another chance with a free kick whipped in to the far post for Kreshnic Krasniqi but again the ball went just to long and out of play.

The game continued end to end after the break. On 47 minutes Brett McGavin picked up the ball and showed good skill to work the ball in to a shooting position but his shot lacked power and ended as an easy save for Jessup. Heybridge took the lead on 71 minutes, a good attack from the visitors saw Luke Callender nod home a rebound off the post. The lead lasted just 4 minutes as a good attack from Bury and a beautiful pass from Tommy Robinson to Ramadan ended with a cool as you like finish from the Bury goal scorer. A solid game from Bury Town and a man of the match performance from Cemal Ramadan ensured the three points.
