From the corner Aveley took the lead with an easy header from an unmarked Ryan Cosson. On 11 minutes Ollie Hughes got in to the Aveley box but his shot was saved well by Rhys Madden. Kyran Clements put a good cross in to the box on 18 minutes for Bury and Hughes headed just wide. Aveley almost doubled their lead on 30 minutes with a cracking strike from Cosson with smacked wide of the post. Alex Teniola should have put Aveley two up on 31 minutes but put his header wide from inside the six-yard box.
