Solid performance from Injury hit Bury Town to take the win

Bury Town are struggling of late with a growing injury list but a great team performance from the squad took the points. Bury settled in to the game and Tevan Allen went on a run down the wing on 9 minutes, after showing skill to get in to the box Allen’s cross to Noel Aitkens was cleared by the defence. 2 minutes later it was Aitkens turned provider, whipping in a cross deep in to the box and Daryl Robson showing a cool head as he cleared any danger. In form Tommy Robinson dribbled the ball down the wing on 13 minutes and put the perfect cross low across the goal but with no one in the box the chance was wasted. Bury had the ball in the net on 19 minutes after a good attack only to be ruled offside. On 29 minutes Brentwood had the ball in the net but again it was ruled offside. Andy Freeman should have put the home side in front on 90 minutes breaking through the center Freeman was one on one with Bury Keeper Luis Tibles but Bury No1 was out sharply to block the strike. Tommy Robinson but Bury in front on 36 minutes after some good build up play from Aitkens beating his man and playing Robinson in to fire the Blues ahead. Another great opportunity for Brentwood came on 41 minutes. Robson putting a ball down the center and Freeman was in again on Tibbles who made the block with his feet.

Bury kept the tempo up at the start of the second half and were soon making chances. on 50 minutes Robinson set up Ramadan in the box but the defence broke down the move. Bury then got their second goal on 56 minutes. Bradley Barber putting the perfect free kick in to Ramadan who made no mistake in putting Bury two goals to the good. Brentwood started to push Bury back after the second goal as they went in search of getting something from the game. Bury had to defend well as Brentwood were again looking dangerous going forward. Joe Yaxley got in to the box for Bury on 66 minutes but the spun out of his reach at the last moment. Tevan Allen tried to relive the pressure on 74 minutes and playing Ramadan though in to the box but a defection took the ball away from Ramadan. Brentwood pulled a gaol back on 84 minutes with a well taken chip from Brenden Cavalier putting the ball over Tibbles and in the empty net. Brentwood finished strong and Bury had to sit back and defend until the end but they did just that and took a well-earned and worthy victory at the final whistle after a good all round team performance.
