A Solid second half performance gives Blues the win
Soham started the game on the attack and had a couple of early chances to take the lead. On 3 minutes Lewis McDonald put a free kick in to Luke Brown in the box but Brown mistimed his header and the ball went out of play. A minutes later Joe Carden went down the wing and put a low cross right across the face of goal but Darren Foxley miss hit his strike which went wide. A stroke of fortune gave Bury Town the lead on 9 minutes when a poor clearance hit Luke Read on the side of the head and looped over Soham keeper George Lawton and in to the back of the empty net. Ryan Jolland tested the Soham keeper on 13 minutes after breaking through the midfield and in on goal but Lawton made a great save to deny Jolland. Tom Debenham steered a shot just wide from a corner in from Barber on 16 minutes. Debenham was on hand again on 20 minutes this time clearing off the goal line from a Pat Adamson strike. A mix up at the back allowed Soham to get the equalizer on 22 minutes Cemal Ramadan talking advantage of Bury keeper Neil Oâ€™Sullivan who was caught out of position and Ramadan took an easy goal. On 25 minutes Bury almost regained the lead when Ollie Hughes crossed in deep to Barber close to the far post but Barber could not get a clean head on the ball as it went out of play. Bury had the ball in the net again on 41 minutes, Remi Garrett put a corner in to Debenham who headed home only to be disallowed by the Ref for a foul. On 43 minutes Bury were awarded a penalty for handball but Luke Reads spot kick was saved well by the feet of the keeper.

Bury dominated the game after the break but Soham defended well early in the half to keep Bury out. On 48 minutes Luke Read went through on goal but he shot wide. Remi Garrett got down the wing on 50 minutes and played a perfect cross in to Tevan Allen who was unmarked in the box but Allenâ€™s strike was blocked by the defence. Tom Debenham headed inches over the bar a minute later from a Garrett corner. Bradley Barber went on a run through the center and on in to the box on 59 minutes but his chip over the keeper was cleared again but the defence. On 67 minutes Soham had another chance to score, Luke Brown got into the box but his shot lacked power and Oâ€™Sullivan made an easy save. Bury regained the lead on 75 minutes with a stunning strike from distance from Ryan Jolland who beat the keeper as his strike flew in to the top corner. 2 minutes later Bury were awarded another penalty for a foul and Josh Mayhew came off the bench to smash home Bury Townâ€™s third goal from the spot on 78 minutes. Bury were in control and on 80 minutes Garrett got down the wing again and crossed in to Allen in the box but Allen curled his shot just wide of the far post. Bradley Barber hit the post from a free kick on 83 minutes before Mayhew scored Buryâ€™s fourth a minute later. A ball over the top was Mayhew run in on goal to get his second goal of the game. Bury took the win in the end but Soham had their chances to get something from this game in the first half but Bury were dominant throughout the second half.
