Bury come from behind again to win in style

After a cagey first 20 minutes from both side this game sprang in to life. on 22 minutes Aaron Condon beat the Bury back line to open the scoring with a neat headed goal. the lead never lasted long however as Bury were level 2 minutes later. Ryan Jolland put his corner in the danger area and Phil Weavers bullet header beat the keeper on 25 minutes. in the next attack Remi Garrett got down the wing and crossed in the Josh Mayhew in space in the box but Mayhew could not get a clean strike on the ball and the defence cleared the ball away. Bury were rampant and on 28 minutes took the lead. Jolland put another great cross in to the box for Mayhew and this time the Bury forward rifled the ball home. On 30 minutes Garrett put a cross in for Jolland in the box but his shot went high and wide. Brightlingsea had a change to level the game on 36 minutes when Phil Kelly got in to a great position only to shoot wide. Bury suffered another injury worry as Josh Mayhew had to go off on 42 minutes after picking up a knock. Russell Malton put a dangerous ball in top the Bury box right on half time but Bury keeper Neil O’Sullivan was quick to get to the ball and make the save.

the second half saw Bury turn on the style with some great passing and movement going forward. Bury were dominant and soon making chances. on 50 minutes Tevan Allen played a brilliant ball in from wide, his low powerful pass headed for the far post and Ollie Canfer and Bury debutant Luke Reed were both at the far post but in the scramble to get there first the keeper saved bravely at the feet of the Bury duo. Nick Ingram had a half chance on 58 minutes shooting from a cross in from Jolland but the keeper made the save. Bury were in control and it was not long before Remi Garrett who had been on his game all afternoon fired a low strike from some distance out on the wing and his powerful low strike was perfectly placed to beat everyone as it flew inside the far post to give Bury a two goal advantage on 60 minutes. one of Burys best moves of the game saw some fantastic passing play from Garrett and Jolland in midfield and Reed was on the end of the move in the box but smashed his shot against the crossbar. Ryan Jolland added a fourth for the Blues on 84 minutes when a soft pass out at the back by the visiting keeper left him stranded and the loose ball was intercepted by Jolland, with an open goal Jolland showed great composure to made it count with a delightful lob in to the empty net. one of the best second half performance on the season so far from Bury saw them take the win and keep the pressure on the teams around them in the league.
