Barber goal not enough for Bury as game ends all square.
After a slow start from the home side which saw Gt Wakering have the early chances. First Nicholas Hilder broke through the defence and played in a dangerous cross but Bury cleared the danger. Another attack from the visitors saw Billy Johnson head just over the bar. Sam Reed setup Ollie Canfer for Bury on 13 minutes but Canfer headed over. Remi Garrett had another chance for the Blues a minute later sliding in on a pass in to the box from Ollie Hughes but again Bury failed to open the scoring. Bury found their game late in the half and kept the pressure on going forward. On 31 minutes Reed played a beautiful chip over the defence for Hughes to run on to but Matthew Belcher came out quickly to collect the ball. Bury had a great chance on 36 minutes when Garrett played a cross in to the box for Canfer to head against the foot of the far post and the ball stopped almost on the goal line but again the keeper was quickest to react and collected the ball. Bury finally broke the deadlock on 41 minutes when Bradley Barber hit a perfect free kick around the wall and the Keeper into the bottom far corner. Bury added to their injury worries late in the half with Barber picking up a knock which saw him unable to return for the second half.

After the break Bury struggled to contain Gt Wakering as they took the game to the Blues. With the second half only 10 minutes old Bury lost the ball out on the wing and from the resulting attack Tony Jacobs grabbed the equalizer with a well-placed shot past returning Bury Keeper Neil Oâ€™Sullivan. Bury won a throw in on 59 minutes which Darcy Death put deep in to the box but Canfer headed just wide. Oâ€™Sullivan saved Bury going behind on 64 minutes with a stunning one handed save high in to the top corner from Hilders strike. On 70 minutes a free kick from wide from Eljay Worrell was met by a thumping header from Johnson at close range but again Oâ€™Sullivan made a brilliant save to keep Bury level. Gt Wakering finished the half strong and on 80 minutes had a great chance to win the game, Jack Gardner won the ball on the wing as was clear on goal, Gardner found Malaki Toussaint clear in the box but his soft head at goal was an easy catch for Oâ€™Sullivan. Bury had two late chances to secure the points for themselves with Hughes through on goal on 81 minutes but the keeper got to the ball first. Then on 83 minutes Tom Debenhams headed just over from another deep throw in to the box from Death. This game was there for both side to take the win and all the points but poor finishing and defending was on show all afternoon at both ends of the pitch and the game ended all square.
