Match report | Preview
Bury Town extended their unbeaten league run to eleven game with a 3-0 win.

Bury started brightly but is was Soham who went closest to opening the scoring early on. Phil Weavers clearing the ball off the line twice on 10 minutes, first from a shot from Ben Sawyer and then from a follow up shot from Jordan Gent. Bury continued to press forward but found it difficult to break through the Soham defence until Justin Miller got to the by-line, chipped in a cross and a fortunate fumble from Harry Reynolds in the Soham goal let in Noel Aitkens to nod home on the goal line on 34 minutes. The goal settled Bury down and they soon went two goals up. After a good build up Joe Maybanks found himself in a one on one with Reynolds and slotted his shot under the keeper.

Half Time: Soham Town Rangers 0 Bury Town 2

After the break it was Soham who stared the livelier and had some good chances early in the half. The home side had two headers cleared off the line before Pat Bexfield cracked a shot against the bar. Bury had a chance to make it three on 56 minutes, Sam Reed running at goal hit a solid shot which went just wide of the far post. Reed had another good effort saved on 66 minutes before Ollie Hughes put Bury three up on 70 minutes. Hughes chasing a long ball and going round the keeper to score in the empty net. Bury were reduced to ten men on 73 minutes when a rash challenge from Joe Maybanks was enough for the ref to show him a straight red. The ten men of Bury saw the game out and Bury extend their unbeaten league run to eleven game.
